Is this possible? I want to write a plugin that augments the current view to add line numbers in front of each line.

I'm not sure if this is possible, so before embarking on it I thought I would check with those that know better...

I am imagining a some sort of marked off area that sits next to (or in) an open pane and numbers the lines of that pane.
Zero for the current line.. then numbering backwards up the screen... so I could quickly determine "that last output was 20 lines"

Context: I have a script I run to send a chunk of the zellij buffer to an AI to ask it questions or advice. (https://gist.github.com/NigelThorne/385ebbbe2060cc16414ced49e853f12f) so knowing that I want to only send the last 14 lines would be really useful.

ask claude -n 14 "How do I fix that error?"
