Making a sandwich
Sandwiches can be crafted with a piece of bread in the middle top and middle bottom slots with a maximum of 3 food ingredients in the middle row.
Notice: the items that can be used as bread are defined in the c:sandwich/bread
item tag. It only contains the Minecraft bread by default.
Almost all food items can be used as sandwich ingredients, except for a bunch of them, defined in the c:sandwich/blacklist
item tag.
By default, the c:sandwich/blacklist
item tag contains the c:sandwich/bread
tag, sandwiches, stews, soups, pies, salads and mashed potatoes.
An empty sandwich gives 5 hunger points. An ingredient in a sandwich will restore its original hunger points and hunger saturation points divided by 3.
However, some ingredients are good complements to eachother and can make them restore more hunger when they are put together in a sandwich. Divide each ingredients hunger and hunger saturation points by 3, sum them up and divide the result by 2 to get the points restored by those ingredients.
Ingredient | Complement |
---|---|
Apple | Chocolate |
Chicken | Honey Bottle |
Steak | Cheese |
Enchanted Golden Apple | Beetroot |

The used formula is 3 / 3 + 6 / 3 + 4 / 3.
