org-roam-peek

org-roam-peek is a minor mode that can be enabled in org buffers. If you hover over a link of type id or roam, a posframe window will show the content of that node. When the point moves off the link, the preview will be closed.

This package is work in progress and may contain bugs. There could also be a hit on performance, because this package must run anytime the point is moved.

Installation

org-roam-peek is currently not available on melpa. It can be installed via quelpa or any other git based installer.

(use-package org-roam-peek
:quelpa (org-roam-peek :fetcher github :repo "domse007/org-roam-peek")
  :hook
  ((org-mode . org-roam-peek-mode)))

Customization

The package can be customized through the following variables:

  • org-roam-peek-posframe-poshandler: This takes any of the posframe-poshandler-* functions which define where the posframe will appear.
  • org-roam-peek-posframe-border-width: This number defines the width of border around the posframe.
  • org-roam-peek-posframe-width: This variable is either a function or a number. This variable defines the width of the posframe.
  • org-roam-peek-posframe-height: The same thing as the previous variable but for the height of the posframe.
  • org-roam-peek-buffer-name: The name of the buffer used in the posframe.
  • org-roam-peek-posframe-border: Face of posframe border.
