LaborDayTraffic

Data analysis for the Labor Day weekend from 2008 to 2017, which ranks among the busiest travel times of the year and one of the deadliest time of the year.

Data pulled from Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) created by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

How to get data

Fatal Crash Data:

  1. go to FARS
  2. Select Year + Submit
  3. Select Option 1 + Submit
  4. Click Holiday Related and Injury Severity + Submit
  5. Click "(4) Fatal Injury (K)" and click Cross Tab + Submit
  6. Click State for the row, Holiday Related for the column, Number of Crash for the count + Submit

Fatality Data:
