Problem statement

Use StackExchange open data to rank USA states by user reputation inside StackExchange

Steps required

• Download top 20 state by population from link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_population using relevant R libraries
• run query http://data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/query/edit/249571 using state abbrevation as a parameter
• move query results to the HDFS
• use appropriate MapReduce design pattern to sort and save the results
• test classes
• visualize final results
