Releases: PhyllomeOS/phyllomeos
The first Phyllome OS public version
This is the first Phyllome OS Desktop public edition. This is an alpha release.
It is optimized for Intel CPUs and GPUs only (from 4th to 10th generation), but it may boot on other hardware as well.
There is no checksum or anything on the ISO file to ensure its integrity (At some point, there will be). If you want any kind of insurance, feel free to try to generate your own ISO file yourself.
There is not installer yet. The ISO file is merely just a way to test it out. Changes won't survive a reboot.
- Based on Fedora 35 server
- GNOME Shell, Wayland and systemd
- The Virtual Machine Manager set to auto-launch, the Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) module for Linux, QEMU and libvirt.
- Kernel modules loaded (including
vfio-pci
for PCI passthrough;vfio-mdev
andkvmgt
for VFIO mediated devices) - Support for nested-virtualization
It is a live-only version, with no ability yet to be installed permanently.

Phyllome OS tweaked for vfio-mdev
Pleasant artifacts: it is an alpha version, after all.
The virtual resolution exceeds what the physical LCD panel is capable off.
