What's changed?

  1. bsd_interest_payment duration changed from 30 days to 1 Hour
  2. We removed staking reward (if anyone wants to stake, stake BSD, and earn interest.) but there will be no staking rewards on Share Power.
  3. block reward is divided into two parts now, 85% goes to content creators, and 15% goes to witnesses/blockproducers

What's fixed?

Interest payments had bugs

  1. First interest payment, was huge, because of wrong calculations and bad programming logic.

lets say, a newly registered user received a payment, and current bsd_interest_rate is 10%
the bug would allow the user, to instantly get about 3x the amount of BSD he received, as a result of the wrong calculations and bad programming logic

that's fixed.. so now interest payments work correctly.
any past releases are deprecated.. and anyone who wants to use BEARS blockchain should use this release.

A few changes to the inflation model and a few things we kept as is.

  1. We start with 111 Million coin supply 50% BEARS, 50% BSD
  2. Block reward will be about 1.033 BEARS/ block which will narrow down to 0.100 BEARS over the period of 20 years
  3. Block reward changes every 250,000 blocks, after about every 3 months
  4. Every 3 seconds a new block is generated, no changes there.
  5. 75% reward to content creators, 15% to the stake holders 10% to witnesses (block producers/miners)
  6. Power down period is changed to 365 days, The amount is divided into 365 chunks, and is withdrawn daily
  7. Posts' Payout comes in 7 days and there is only 1 payment, a post can receive
  8. Savings withdrawal takes 3 days

notes: one really bad thing STEEM did, that is calculating block reward based upon the virtual supply, which keeps increasing and it affects the inflation, we changed that.. and we calculate inflation based upon the PREMINE supply, which is a constant number,
and block reward correctly reduces over a period of 20 years.

This First release of bears blockchain is named after "CLEO"
