Installation

• install mod_wsgi
• install pip
• install django
  • pip install Django
• Clone this repo

Configure Database

• within the website project directory, create a file called local_settings.py and put the below database configuration into that file filled with your database info:

  'default': {
    'ENGINE': 'django.db.backends.mysql',
    'NAME': 'DB_NAME',
    'USER': 'USER_NAME',
    'PASSWORD': 'DB_PASSWORD',
    'HOST': 'DB_HOST',
    'PORT': '3306',
  }
}

• Initially (and after every change to a model) stage the migrations:
  • ./manage.py makemigrations
• Then apply them to the database:
  • ./manage.py migrate

Run

• in the project root, enter:
  • ./manage.py runserver
