Welcome to the boiler room
Source code for the paper by Casper van Elteren, Vitor Vasconcelos, Mike Lees and Peter Sloot (2023).
The source is written in Nim, which writes like python but is a compiled language. To interface with the code, we need to install it. It is recommended to install Nim through choosenim, as that piece of software allows for version control. The current version is developed using Nim 2.0 but it should be compatible with 1.6.X. Make sure Nim is added to your PATH variable.
From the terminal, run
choosenim stable
git clone [email protected]:cvanelteren/boiler_room.git
cd boiler_room
nimble install
This should make boiler_room
available as a package.
Please explore the examples
directory for some setup. Also
note that this is scientific code development. I attempt to
keep things tidy by having unittests available. Things
change all the time, and sometimes things break.
It is possible to import nim packages into python, using nimporter. The current run scripts are written in Nim. If preferred, this patch can be taken.
