The 0.7 release of hRecipe, codenamed "Childs," again focuses on engineering, but will also provide more formatting flexibility with custom CSS.

Background

Between the initial release of hReview base code many, many years ago, web applications in general and WordPress specifically have evolved. This evolution has brought best-practice development techniques from the enterprise to your browser.

This is a good thing.

It does, however, require a substantial investment of time rewriting ancient code into modern code.

It's worth it.

The upshot of the 0.7 release is that Javascript conflicts will provably not hRecipe's fault. There will other goodies as well, to be determined.

Theming

At the moment, hRecipe provides an option for custom formatting via specifying a custom class file. Two more additions to customization are scheduled:

  • Custom class file per recipe
  • More documentation on the blog about how to use custom classes.
