How to install in Layman on Gentoo: 
 - Add this line to your "overlays:" statement in /etc/layman/layman.cfg (yes, you need https)
 https://raw.github.com/fira/fira-overlay/master/layman.xml
 - Install the overlay in layman with "layman -a fira"
 - If you're using eix, you should regenerate your database with eix-update
 - You can then run `eix --in-overlay fira` to check for the added ebuilds
