Simple Chat is a real time chat application, essentially IRC in a browser, created with very few lines of code. It makes use of HTML5 WebSockets and Node.js, in particular the Node.js ws module.
Must have Node.js installed on the server
Copy all files to a folder on your server
Run npm install
In 'index.html' update the CHAT_SERVER_URL constant to point to your server
Turn off any existing web server
Run sudo node server.js
Point your web browser(s) at the server
Press the Connect button
