Downloading and Compiling YouScope

License

YouScope and all common plugins are open-source and licensed under the GNU general public license, version 2. This means that you can freely download, edit and compile YouScope for personal or commercial use. However, it also implies that you have to make the source code of any derived product freely available. For details, we refer to the license.

Downloading the Sources

YouScope is hosted at github under the URL https://github.com/langmo/youscope. To download the sources, you first have to install a git client. For Windows platforms, we recommend TortoiseGit. The URL of the repository is https://github.com/langmo/youscope.git.

When using TortoiseGit, right click anywhere in the Explorer. Select Git Clone.... Put https://github.com/langmo/youscope.git as the URL and select any directory (e.g. C:\YouScope\source) to which you want to copy the YouScope source files. Leave all other settings unchanged and press OK.
