Firmware Installation:
Note: The ISO layout requires an LED to be removed due to a interference issue with the hotswap socket, this will physically change the rgb_matrix and cause the RGB LED colors of the 1st and 2nd row to be slightly off. Install the ISO firmware to ensure the rgb_matrix is defined correctly.
- Download the firmware of choice, ANSI or ISO, attached to this release.
- Boot keyboard info DFU mode using one of two methods:
- Does not require opening keyboard case:
- unplug USB cable
- press and hold the ESC key
- plug in USB cable
- wait for keyboard to show up as "RPI-RP2" disk drive on your computer
- release ESC key
- Requires opening keyboard case:
- unplug USB cable
- press and hold the BOOT button on the back of PCB
- plug in USB cable
- wait for keyboard to show up as "RPI-RP2" disk drive on your computer
- release BOOT button
- Copy the firmware, the uf2 file, to the disk drive.
- Upon transferring the file, the keyboard will reboot. You will no longer see the disk drive.
- Done, enjoy the keyboard.
VIA Instructions:
While we await for the VIA code to the Github repo, you will need to perform the follow steps to get the keyboard to appear in VIA:
- Download the "trinity_via.json" attached to this release.
- Go to VIA website
- In the Design tab, press the load button and select the downloaded json file.
- Done. You should now be able to go to the Configure tab to edit your keyboard mapping.
