Peerchat Written on Phoenix in Elixir

To start your Phoenix app:

• You might need to use sudo for some commands.

• Install dependencies with mix deps.get

• Set your DB password in config/dev.exs

• Create and migrate your database with mix ecto.create && mix ecto.migrate

• Install Node.js dependencies with npm install

• Start Phoenix endpoint with mix phoenix.server

Now you can visit localhost:4000 from your browser.

Troubleshooting

1. I had to upgrade Elixir on my OSX desktop.

brew update

brew upgrade elixir
