prerequisite

Either on Linux or Windows, not tested on mac
Unreal Engine 5
VR HMDs like Meta Quest Series, HTC VIVE Series or Stuff supporting OpenXR may work.

Recommended system

Intel i7 gen 9th - 11th / Intel i9 gen 9th - 11th / AMD ryzen 7 / AMD ryzen 9
+16 GB RAM memory
NVIDIA RTX 3080 or Higher
Unreal Engine 5.0
Meta Quest Pro / Meta Quest 2

How to run this project

The main explanation of the operation is given in the Youtube video above. Stand-alone VR is not intended. You must connect the VRHMD to your PC, which is called PCVR. If you are using Meta Quest series, use Oculus link / Air link to connect to PC.

Import Point Clouds

Import point clouds files into Content Drawer image Drag and drop point clouds to level to display point clouds

Play & Edit

Play in VR Preview mode image

HandTrigger Show/Hide Sphere
HandTrigger & IndexTrigger Delete Points in Sphere
Left Thumbstick Forward/backward, left/right movement
Right Thumbstick Vertical translation, Yaw rotation
HandTrigger & Thumbsticks Slowly moving, rotating
Left X,Y, Right A,B Resize Sphere

Overlay Sphere and point cloud, delete point cloud with HandTrigger & IndexTrigger

Export

Right-click on the edited point cloud file (.uasset) and select Asset Action → Export image

Appendix

If the low FPS is caused by insufficient computer power, try setting the "MAX Bucket Size" to a smaller value. image
