Project files for the Western Home Monthly magazine analysis conducted by Notre Dame English graduate students and Center for Digital Scholarship faculty at the University of Notre Dame, starting in Fall semester 2017.
The Western Home Monthly is a western Canadian domestic magazine that was printed in the first decades of the twentieth century. Librarians at the University of Alberta had digitized the entire run, available here, and granted the Notre Dame group access to source files for computational analysis.
Topic modeling instruction was conducted by Eric Morgan (especially) and Daniel Johnson.
Topic modeling data was generated by graduate students Anton Povzner and Shinjini Chattopadhyay using MALLET and stored in a Google Sheet.
