+## Current SOTA
+[Sil][Sil], published at AAAI 2018, is the current SOTA in Cross-lingual Entity Linking. In the cross-lingual setting, they train the system on English and test not only on English; but also on other foreign unseen languages like Spanish and Chinese. Their system obtained the top end-to-end EL score at the TAC 2017 annual EL evaluation by NIST in English. Their system is a feed forward NN approach with a wide variety of similarity networks put in a "feature abstraction layer". The system is trained in a zero-shot fashion and gets SOTA score on English, Spanish and Chinese.
