Arm Muscles
UPPER ARM ^
Deltoid ^
- The Deltoid arches to the front, the sharp tip going backwards
- The Deltoid isn't round but has a bump in the middle

Example
Biceps Brachii ^
The Biceps consists of two heads that unite at the bottom
MUSCLE PART | ORIGIN | INSERTION | INFO |
---|---|---|---|
Biceps Short Head (BB) | Scapula coracoid process | Radius tuberosity | More towards the center |
Biceps Long Head (BB) | Socket of the Scapula | Radius tuberosity |
Brachialis ^

Triceps Brachii ^
The Triceps consists of three heads that unite at the bottom into the Triceps tendon
MUSCLE PART | ORIGIN | INSERTION | INFO |
---|---|---|---|
Triceps Long Head (T) | Scapula | Olecranon (Elbow) | |
Triceps Lateral Head (T) | Humerus | Olecranon (Elbow) | |
Triceps Medial Head (T) | Humerus | Olecranon (Elbow) | |

Example
FOREARM ^
The forarm muscles are split into two groups the Flexors and Extensor. These two groups are visibly distinct, the Extensor group being the bigger one. The front border is below the Biceps/ Brachialis and the back border is below the Triceps, following the Ulna. The Extensors are farther from the midline where as the Flexors are closer to the midline.
Other Flexor and Extensor Border Examples
Forearm Flexors ^
MUSCLE | ORIGIN | INSERTION | INFO |
---|---|---|---|
Flexor Carpi Ulnaris (FCU) | Between Triceps and Biceps | Bottom of hand far side from thumb | |
Flexor Digitorum Superficialis (FDS) | Phalangas, bottom side of all fingers except thumb | Barely visible | |
Palmaris Longus (PL) | Between Triceps and Biceps | Hand Plam | Barely visible |
Flexor Carpi Radialis (FCR) | Between Triceps and Biceps | Bottom of hand close side to thumb | |

Pronator Teres (PT) | Between Triceps and Biceps | Middle of Brachioradialis | Stays beside the Bicep |
Forearm Extensors ^
MUSCLE | ORIGIN | INSERTION | INFO |
---|---|---|---|
Brachioradialis (Brr) | Between Brachialis and Triceps | Inner side of hand | Brachialis side, bigger one |
Extensor Carpi Radialis Longus (ECRL) | Between Brachialis and Triceps | Inner side of hand | Triceps side, smaller one |
