Paste the link in your Github profile as an image tag. The example below shows how to neatly centre the comment.

Congrats! Now you have a working testimonials section on your Github readme. A random comment from the array will be shown and requests are cached for 2 hours by default. You can turn the cache off (and in turn get a new comment every time you refresh the page) by adding &noCache=true
to the end of the URL.
This is the same as the one in the header of this readme.
After much testing, I was unable to make a hyperlinked image work - one which loads the image while also allowing you to click to the original image - in Github markdown. However it works on other websites.
svg=true
Returns a loading SVG which will load the image in the background
lazy=true
It might be a good idea to show a single comment testimonial and then add the link to that known comment in your readme. This will override the comments
param. You will need to encode the comment URL manually to make this work correctly. Use this to encode the URL.
specificComment=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fopen-wa%2Fwa-automate-nodejs%2Fissues%2F747%23issuecomment-682116171
By default the cache is set to 2 hours. You can set noCache=true
to disable it and get a new comment every time, but you can also set a cache custom time period. For example, to set cache to 5 minutes:
cache_seconds=300
