PictureOrganizer is script for advanced sorting of photos. You have full control of naming, and folder structure.
You can download program bundled with gui from SourceForge - http://sourceforge.net/projects/picturemessorganizer/
- assemble name from many parameters retrieved from original file and folder (
%Y_%m_%d ({old})
would translate toyear_month_day (original filename)
) - filter files by extension
- remove duplicates, based on size and date
- if copying from old archive you can remove date from beginning and keep previous name of already sorted directories. (
2014_01_01 new year
would set{old}
parameter tonew year
, which means you can change date format)
###GUI
Run python PictureOrganizer.py
to open GUI or python PictureOrganizer.py profile.po
to start copying from saved profile.
###Command line Import Core.py and create instance with following parameters
- source_dirs ... list[string]
- output_dir ... string
- formats_filter ... list[string]
- mode ... string ('move' or 'copy')
- remove_duplicates ... boolean
- img_name ... string (replaced are args from datetime object ex. %m %s plus {old} for original filename)
- folder_name ... string (same as above)
- remove_date_from_old_dir_name ... boolean (following regex is performed on dir names: ^[0-9-_.\s]+')
