Installing the package

% sudo pkg add tn40xx_freebsd12_amd64-1.1.txz
% sudo reboot


If pkg add command fails with the following message:
% sudo pkg add tn40xx_freebsd12_amd64-1.1.txz
Signature for pkg not available

It could mean pkg tool is not correctly setup on your system. In this case, run pkg with no arguments and while host have internet access:
% sudo pkg
The package management tool is not yet installed on your system.
Do you want to fetch and install it now [y/N]:

Enter or answer "y" to complete pkg tool installation

Verifying installed package

% pkg info | grep tn40

Uninstalling the package

% sudo pkg delete tn40xx_freebsd12_amd64-1.1
% sudo reboot

Configuring adapter

% sudo vi /etc/rc.conf
For DHCP:
	ifconfig_tn400="DHCP"
For Static IP, ipv4:
	ifconfig_tn400="inet 17.0.0.201 netmask 255.255.255.0"
For Static IP, ipv4 and MTU:
	ifconfig_tn400="inet 17.0.0.201 netmask 255.255.255.0 mtu 9000"
For Static IP, ipv6:
	ifconfig_tn400_ipv6="inet6 2017::201 prefixlen 64"
For Bonding, failover mode, tn400+tn401, DHCP:
	ifconfig_tn400="up"
	ifconfig_tn401="up"
	cloned_interfaces="lagg0"
	ifconfig_lagg0="laggproto failover laggport tn400 laggport tn401 DHCP"
% sudo reboot

* If there is more than one adapter present, they will be named tn400, tn401, etc.
